The trailer is here. Death’s a Toast will be premiering on YouTube on March 8th. After the long wait, and the extensive tweaks, the 40+ minute short will be available, for free, online.
A link to the short will be posted here, on my videography page when it’s released. I am excited to see the extra hard work put into making it the best it can be.

DEATH’S A TOAST (OFFICIAL TEASER)
Sequel to the fantastic, indie college short film, Love’s a Wash. I was presented the opportunity to take charge of cinematography for this film. Stretching at a lengthy forty-plus minutes, there’s no shortage of beautiful shots and unique camera techniques.
I had help from the director of the film, SAM BLAIS, to bring this existential, dramatic, and even comedic story to life. You can watch the trailer here, and stay tuned for the full release (March 2024).

BONEBREAKER (TRAILER)
Written and directed by myself, this short film follows a high school student and his sister, who are struggling to survive on their own. His luck begins to change when he finds out about an underground fighting tournament, that if won, would put an end to their financial troubles.
It’s an action packed, humorous ride, filled with cool fight choreography, and fun set pieces. Currently in post production, being touched up. Another one to keep your eye out for!

MAKE ME A SANDWICH (SHORT)
A silent short film made for our camera and lighting class. I worked on production design and lighting, taking inspiration from film noir style lighting. The story is also very noir-esque, centered around a theme of betrayal and death. While short, it’s still something I had a blast editing, and working on set!

THE BALLAD OF TREVOR, THOMAS, AND SAM (SHORT)
An ambitious idea that was created by my friend Thomas Gentilie, the story follows three college students who begin to get a little too competitive with one another, losing the true meaning friendship.
Originally created in pieces, it was cut all together to create one long short film. I was an actor, one of the cinematographers, and worked on the production of the short. This was a project that was just as fun as it was tolling on all who worked on it. Was a pleasure to work with two of my closest friends on a passion project such as this. Always excited to play a caricature of myself.

NFL SCREENWRITERS (SHORT)
Originally created for SUNY Fredonia’s TV station, this short has been sitting in the archive for a bit. I wrote and directed this satirical short, which takes a jab at the NFL and it’s superstitious viewers. I asked the question of: What would it be like if a football game was actually rigged? Then after asking that, I went after my home team for sh*ts and giggles.
What came from it is a funny, and goofy skit that has become one of my personal favorites, even if it’s not one of my best.

ON TIME (SHORT)
My second ever short film, focusing on the simple concept that every college student has probably had to deal with in some form of another. It’s a race against the clock for our main character, as he rushes home to grab his assignment for class after leaving it behind. He refuses to be late again… or fail yet another assignment, so it’s time to run.
Written, directed, and edited by myself, I hold this one close to me, as it really gave me a feel for how fun (and just how stressful) all of those things can be.

VIDEO JOURNALISM SEGMENT #3
(2 Min.)
Continuing as a part two to the previous segment (attached below), this piece further delves into the local music and songwriting scene. I delve in with two of my friends to seek the answer of whether it’s smart to risk it all in the career of music. The conclusion may just have you a little bit surprised.
The third and final Video Journalism piece created in my junior year. Building off of the previous established elements of my last two pieces, this one is the combination of everything learned. This includes paced out editing, unique and visually appealing shots, and an honest discussion between interviewer and interviewee.

VIDEO JOURNALISM SEGMENT #2
(1 Min.)
Small journalism piece touching on the live music scene of very small-time musicians. Discussing a recent performance and the difficulty of gaining traction and popularity, local songwriter, Tom Moore, talks his point of view on the matter.
A piece made for Video Journalism, that includes live performance, two more interviews, and some music layered in as well.

FRESH AIR (SHORT)
A poetic short film that focuses on the beauty in the little things. It’s a simple visual exploration into nature and the world that surrounds us.
There are some unique shots in here that aren’t found in any of my other work, but it’s also just a video to help calm you down and let you breathe a little bit.

VIDEO JOURNALISM SEGMENT #1 (30 Sec.)
This was a 30 second journalism inspired pieces about a (fictional) skatepark renovation, taking place in Orchard Park, New York. The piece includes an interview, and voice over conducted by myself.
All the shots shown, including editing and writing for the piece were also done by me. Created for an assignment in my Video Journalism class my junior year.

THE SUMMER OF 2021 (VIDEO)
You might be wondering why I added this into my portfolio. It’s a very personal project for me, but also one I am extremely proud and fond of. One of the reasons I keep going, and keep pushing through even the toughest of days, is because of the people I hold close to me.
It wasn’t just made by me. It wasn’t made for me. It was passionately put together by me, dedicated to those who make my life worth living.
You know who you are…

THE SUMMER OF 2020 (VIDEO)
The first of two special videos in my catalogue. This was put here for the same reason as the video above. While I do think that this is the weaker of the two, there are still moments from here I will never forget.
Due to the lengthy editing process, I was able to perfect some of the skills I use in my editing today. Even with the smallest of projects, you learn a lot from them. Maybe the summer videos will make a return at some point.

WSTF-TV 2019 FINAL EPISODE
Back in high school, I was one of the lead members of the school TV station. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to save a lot of the episodes we had made over the course of the year, but I did manage to save the last one.
Created as a final goodbye from the class of 2019, the one of which I was a part of, it was easily one of the most creative and outlandish episodes we had made. Sparing the students from the usual morning announcements, we decided to creatively go all out for the episode, making it one to remember. It has multiple inside jokes, a musical number and an emotional goodbye towards the end, signing off and away from the project of the past, and diving head first into what was to come next.
I spent a lot of time being on set, filming, creating sketches and bits, and finally editing the whole thing together on my own. While I don’t often think back to it as much, I am able to appreciate the passion and effort that went into it, especially from a bunch of high schoolers. It is still a project I’m very proud of.

THE HOOD (SHORT)
A local vigilante is followed and cornered in a dark and suspicious warehouse. Using the power of music, he needs to fend and fight his way out a major crime lord’s clutches.
This was my first ever full attempt at a short film. I worked with the resources I had to create a fun, action-packed ride, featuring a lot of songs I absolutely did not have licenses for. When it premiered at our school sponsored film fest, it won Peoples Choice Award.
Made for my high school communications elective, I had created an original concept and script. Heavily inspired by Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver, it was something that I had put weeks of work into, spending lots of time writing, editing and tweaking to make it just right. While obviously not a perfect short, it does carry the passion of a young, wannabe filmmaker.
That all being said, I think the biggest take away from this project is the editing that makes the fight sequences look very smooth. I had to work with a one camera set up, and for a lot of the fighting, it doesn’t seem like it. I know this short is anything from great, but it really was a stepping stone into the direction of my future. I helped me prove to myself that I just might have some sort of talent for this stuff.
BLACK HOLES (DOCU-SHORT)
A documentary, not about the rips in space and time, but about an unknown future. Taking a leap into a black hole, not knowing where you’re gonna end up. Pursuing something that feels impossible to succeed at. I got the idea from a band that I was a big fan of at the time.
Centered around the music industry, and small independent musicians, I wanted to know if there was a point of even trying. With the rise of streaming platforms, was it easier or harder to gain recognition? I dug deep and interviewed a fellow local musician for his thoughts. While having it’s flaws, and showing them clearly, this project was another learning experience for me. I gained a lot from the editing and documentary format. I gave me a better grasp on how to form an interesting, real story.

MIDNIGHT (WSTF-TV PILOT)
This pilot follows a late night talk show host, who is becoming washed up, lets the fame get to his head. He finally crashes and burns as a host when he makes the mistake of having an inflated ego. Because of this he needs to learn by his mistakes and make everything right, but will he be able to overcome his own eccentric personality to do it?
In high school, one of the assignments was to create a pilot of a TV show and pitch it in front of the class. It also aired on the TV station, allowing for the school to vote on the best one to be turned into a three part mini-series. The pilot for the show never took off, and the audience reaction was mixed to poor.
Looking back now, it’s very easy to see why. It has some sloppy writing, a boringly executed story, and I feel that it was just poorly paced. That all being said, there are still some interesting filmmaking techniques applied with this. With the establishing shot of the show being a ambitious one take, and some of the later cinematography being uniquely angled shots, it still has it’s moments.
Not only did the flop of this project make me want to improve my craft, but it also solidified that I had some interesting stories to tell. I just needed to tell them in a more intriguing way.
